As they spoke, the sage Durvasa arrived at the door and requested to speak with Lord Rama. Laxman, following his brother’s orders, refused to let him in, leading Durvasa to threaten to curse Lord Rama.
Laxman, fearing the worst, decided to sacrifice himself to save his brother. He entered the room and interrupted the conversation, causing Lord Ram to become distressed. Unable to decide between his duty and his love for his brother, Lord Ram asked Laxman to leave the state and country instead of sentencing him to death. Laxman, unable to live without his brother, decided to leave this world and turned into the incarnation of SheshaNaag, going to Vishnulok.
